We recommend using tire sealant when installing your new tire. Prevent against flats with Armor-Dilloz Tire Sealant.
Tools for Installation:
The Craft&Ride Tool Kit contains all of the necessary tools to complete your tire change. If you would like to replace your worn or missing fasteners, we also offer the conveniently organized ProRide Hardware Kit.
Recommended Tire Pressure:
We recommend setting your tire pressure to 10% of your body weight and then increasing or decreasing to your liking.
- Set your tire pressure to 10% of your body weight. For example, if you weigh 190 lbs, set your tire pressure to 19 PSI. We recommend riding with at least 15-20 PSI if you weigh under 150 lbs.
- If you want your tire to be harder and more round, increase your tire pressure a few PSI from 10%. You will get greater range with a higher PSI.
- If you want your tire to be softer and more stable, decrease your tire pressure a few PSI. You will absorb impact from drops easier with a lower PSI.
- Call or text Nick at +1 (909) 609-5719 if you have any questions.
This product comes with:
- One Burris 11 x 6.0-6 TX-33 Treaded Tire
- Craft&Ride Stickers (Please leave an order note with which stickers you would specifically like and we will include them if they are in stock!)
Super stoked right out of the box best tire I have have ridden and it’s only getting better as it wears in. Awesome traction on trails and also for street riding. I can’t say enough about it so see for yourself and grab one once it becomes available!
Replaced my previous Burris TX33 with the same model I loved it so much. I put about 2200 miles on my first tire before it needed replacement.
This tire has a great profile for trail riding and street. Carves well.
Look. I loved the Vega to learn on a new XR, but the TX-33 should be installed immediately!! You will never ever look back.
This tire was completely transformative to the way my onewheel rides. I completely prefer this treaded "offroad" tire in all situations, even on pavement where I spend most of my time.
I'm somewhat of a newby: I got my XR November, ridden about 150 miles and I've started to become decently confident riding, but I've felt like turning sometimes feels awkward on the stock vega tire. The Vega sits so flat instead of leaning along with me, and I worry that it could roll away from me during a turn due to the forces during turning. When I hopped on the Burris treaded tire for the first time, I felt the possibility -space of what my onewheel could achieve expand drastically.
Switching from a completely flat tire profile to a gentle curve has significantly improved my ability and confidence on my OW. Carves and turns at-speed feel much more natural, safer, and effortless. Low-speed, tight radius U-turns no longer feel like dangerously balancing on a knife's edge.
I've had this tire installed for about a week and ridden about four outings so far. I feel like I've gotten used to it now. I started off at 15 PSI because I weigh about 140. This created an extremely nimble and sensitive ride compared to what I was used to. When trying my first off-road trail, I dropped it down to 10 PSI to give it a shot. I was very impressed by my own ability to navigate the bumps, rocks and roots! I decided to keep it about 12-13 PSI as a compromise so I wouldn't be having to switch between pressures. This also gives back a little stability and I feel is my personal sweet-spot for pavement riding. That's the great thing about this tire. you can customize the ride to fit your style and preferences (or your mood!).
The "decrease in stability" was an honest concern of mine going in, but after one full ride session, I completely adapted to it. I feel like it's actually safer because I can better make micro-adjustments subconsciously to keep my center of balance over the board much easier than I could on the stock tire. I honestly feel like it's safer this way.
This, or any curved profile tire, is a must have upgrade in my opinion. My tire took a few months to get to me after pre-ordering/queueing, as was communicated/expected by the item page. ("PREORDER: Shipping by the end of March") (Was Ordered Dec 29, arrived Feb 28). I see now that the preorder is gone now and it's only "Out of Stock" :( That's unfortunate because I see this as a mandatory upgrade, in my opinion. I'd recommend this tire to anyone new to riding at some point in their journey.
Let's hope that Burris can pump out more tires and fix it's supply chain issues soon!
I've replaced my stock Vega tire with this and it is great.
